It’s a very long day. Four miles of museum to shuffle through. Tapestries, busts, maps and a lot of strategically placed fig leaves ... just to get to the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel. And then on to St. Peter’s Basilica. It’s so huge it’s dumbfounding. Like Rick Steve says, “To call it vast is like calling God smart.”
